Vw polo catalyctic converter
Hi,
My car's just 3 years old which i bought brand new and i'm having problem with acceleration and according to a mechanic its the catalyctic converter that must be change.
I'm just wondering how can a 3 yrs old car's catalytic converter be broken so easily, i had previous second hand cars which where definitely older and i had them for at least 5 years each and never have I had any problem with the catalytic converter.
Can anyone advise!
Many thanks in advance!

Thank you racerx002 for replying!
For a couple of weeks now, my car started not being able to accelerate more than 110km/hour then, the acceleration wouldnt go more than 3,500 revolutions then it is making weird noises, as if a fan was switch on
but now if I'm on 4th or 5th gear, the car just wouldnt go more than 100kms/hour, it would only go around 90 or 95 but not more unless i'm going down hill.
Do you think you can recognize problem?
Once again, thank you!
