Default polo 1994

i have replaced the oil switch and the blue temp sender and still the oil and temp lights are still on the dash board what else can it be

Well you would normally fit an oil pressure gauge to check the engine it providing the correct pressure.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by blue temp sender is that the colour of the sensor?

I really think you need to find someone in your location that has VAG-COM\VCDS to do an Autoscan to see if any error codes show up?

Please state the exact model engine size, petrol or deisel?

the temp sender is blue in color there are 2 one blue and 1 black i replaced the blue one the dash board lights have been on for 2 years it is only know i have decided to replace these 2 units as i am going on the screwball rally and just wanted to make sure all things are ok if there was a problem with oil pressure i am sure it would come up with a problem be fore know ?

Well as normal on here users don't give full details of their motor, engine size, petrol or diesel please add that to your signature.

it is a 1.0 ltr petrol with 75.000 miles on the clock there is a blue and black plug next to each other i am told the black one is the temp gauge and the blue one is the dash light ? and is the one that al;l ways goes wrong ?

So you don't have a temp gauge just a warning light then?

no there is a temp gauge but there is a row of lights ie battery brake oil temp etc it is the oil and temp light that are on all the time now these have been on for over 2 years and had no problems with the running of the car i only want to put them right as i am doing this 1700 mile run so need all to work correct
