Welcome to the forum. Attachment 3222

Well you would normally fit an oil pressure gauge to check the engine it providing the correct pressure.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by blue temp sender is that the colour of the sensor?

I really think you need to find someone in your location that has VAG-COM\VCDS to do an Autoscan to see if any error codes show up?

Please state the exact model engine size, petrol or deisel?

Well as normal on here users don't give full details of their motor, engine size, petrol or diesel please add that to your signature.

If you Google this

VW polo coolant temperature sensor replacement - YouTube

this video shows it to be a black one on a 1.4.

it is a 1.0 ltr petrol with 75.000 miles on the clock there is a blue and black plug next to each other i am told the black one is the temp gauge and the blue one is the dash light ? and is the one that al;l ways goes wrong ?

Keithuk 02-11-2012 07:08 PM

So you don't have a temp gauge just a warning light then?
