ok so i just joined this forum today to get some 3rd party input, as of now i drive a 04 F150 and the gas is killing me now about 3-4 hundred a month... (and yes i know its my fault for driving a truck ) but i have finally thought about getting a second veh as a DD and just using the truck for well truck stuff and hunting... So to start the off i have driven multiple VW, my parents have had 3 different jetta's and my dad had a old Vanagon... they currently have a 2005 Passat gls i belive is the trim... i was trying to talk my dad into selling me his car cause they have had it since it's been new and i know everything that has been done to it, encluding the timing belt... but my mom won't budge so i have been looking at other/older model passat's so my main question for you guys is... are they good veh? should i actually worth spending money on? are there any issues with them that i should know about? here is a link to one i was thinking about looking at, just let me know what you guys think, i would appreciate all the input, thanks...
