Default 2005 Passat 4 motion

Hello,

I am new to this forum and new to owning a VW. I just bought a VW Passat 4motion. I was expecting better gas milage. I have not done the calculations but the MPG guage in the dash is showing city driving 13.0-15.0. I was expecting up to 20.0 or 21.0. I have been driving normal and not triggering the turbo. Does any one know what could improve my MPG. I use this car for work and they only pay me a small amount for miles.

Thanks,
TTWYMR

I appreciate your comments, but I already own this car. Any Ideas how to improve MPG!

Ensure the tyre pressures are correct. Avoid using the A/C. Light pressure on the throttle pedal.

If you could get someone to do a VAG-COM\VCDS scan there could be something wrong but it does make the MIL light flash. If your in the States then I believe Autozone will do a free scan hoping you will buy something of them.
