Default 2002 Passat 1.8 turbo coolant leak

I believe I have a coolant leak which happens whenever I do some highway driving and temperature does not seems to make any difference . 6 weeks ago I put some coolant in and marked the spot where it was on coolant tank. Had mechanic look it over and he said everywhere it was dry and did not see any leaks. Did pressure test and nothing there. Mechanic said that he thinks only place could be slow leak in turbo. Passenger side floor is dry, so that would indicate that there is no big leak. Also ran heat at full blast and there was no sweet smell which would indicate heater core leak. Mechanic said turbo very expensive to repair but no signs to guarantee that is it . where else could there be a leak, he said that under circumstances turbo only place left, what else would have to happen to verify turbo leak, exhaust is not white either..any suggestions ?
