I just bought a used 1994 Jetta III gl and the wipers are messed up. When I turn them on only the driver side works. When I get out and manually move the passenger side arm I can see the white bar under the grill move freely. I think it has just become disconnected. However, the switch is also screwed up, when I turn it on, there is only one speed no matter where the switch is. Also when i try to turn the wiper off from below the off position it will continue going, but if I turn it off from above the off position, it will stop immediately regardless of where the wiper is. These two problems are very bothersome and any insight as to how to fix this would be appreciated.
