I have a 97 Jetta. I just tried to start it and the alarm went off and the engine would not start. After reseting the alarm I got it started by popping the clutch on a hill. I have checked all my fuses. There are no indications the battery is dead. Any ideas?

 

I got tired of the alarm going off as I tried to work on it so I took off the battery cable. Then I had to leave it for the weekend. when I got back and reconnected the cable the car worked again.

had the same problem, Go to a mechanic and solve the problem, Or u get someone you know nd Trust to do it.

 

low battery voltage will do it
