I have a dgxa engine with some upper valve train noises that are no bueno. Since VW decided to put the cam shafts in the valve cover as 1 piece I was wondering if I could get away with pulling the cover off without pulling the whole engine. I have seen that there are ways to set the engine to TDC without pulling it out but I want to know if it can be done without.
