Default starting problem

so recently ive noticed im having a starting issue on a constant irregular basis (if that makes sense). its not all the time but maybe twice a week at the most when i go to start my car...as soon as it starts it turns off. when i go to turn it on again 90% of the time it will start up but the other 10% of the time it will fail again. i just want to say its something like the starter...but ive never had starter problems with any of my other cars so i dont know what the signs of a failing starter would be. anyone have any clue?! thanks! )

also let me add...there is no clunking noise when i turn the key...and sometimes i have also noticed the lights dim but then go back to bright...so haha...now this is sounding more like a battery issue?! oh boy...thanks for hanging in with my while i learn more about my car! )

I had a very similar problem to that, my battery terminals were loose and when i tightened them down it seemed to do it less often.

If it fails when the wheather is moist, you may want to check the coil for cracks

Your ignition coil is where all the spark plug wires are grouped together andlead to the spark plugs. You just pull off the boots and check the terminals for cracks. If there aren't any get your battery tested.

Perhaps its just a bad connection on the battery, or a bad ignition switch. When you try to start it and it doesn't turn over, slightly turn the key either forward or backwards and see if the starter takes off. Those switches are finicky and will sometimes do that.
