We live in SF, California and are headed up to Tahoe next week. We do not have snow tires and are interested in getting chains for our 2008 VW Jetta (chains are required when traveling up to Tahoe) in case of heavy snow. Does anyone have recommendations on which chains to get? We were told about some that were about $500 but that is beyond our budget since we only go up a few times in the winter. Any advice is appreciated.
