Actually I take that back...I went and turned it on and tried it. Shifting seemed a bit rough, but not a whole lot. I had the car in the driveway though. What were you going to suggest?
Here's a video:

It's not great, but it shows the speedometer and you can hear the rough idle in the background. Steering wheel shakes a little sometimes, but in this case it didn't. The hood usually shakes a little, but with this camera you really can't tell.

i found the line that you are taling about and the clamp on it is kind of shoddy. im going to go purchase a better hose clamp that im not debating on.
the line easily slides on and off so i am not doubting that air can be leaking in there. i can not really hear any hissing though.
and the sputtering is coming from my muffler.
it does it for about 30 seconds after i shut the car off at temp pretty badly.
and it makes a small occasional sputter when the car is running.
once again im going to ask if my intake has anything to do with it.
i think it might be a little bigget than my jetta needs.
and the line im talking about connects to a big round disc shaped object directly behind the brake fluid resevoir. is this what you are talking about?

im not sure what you mean but i dont think so.
its like there is pressure being released out of the exhaust system or something when i turn it off.
it slightly does it too while the car is of.
like a very quiet sputter every 15 secs.
and when i turn the car off it will sputter for a constant 15-30 secs.
like... "puh puh puh, puhpuhpuhpuh, puh puh, puh puh puh."
its not really a constant sound.
like little air bubbles are coming out one at a time or something.
and im 90% sure its coming from the muffler.
