well here's a good question for everyone. i have a 2002 jetta 1.8t. the oil pump chain broke. well the sprocket on the crank lost some teeth. can i get another sprocket? do i have to replace the whole crank or what iam lost trying to find this part. the dealer said i had to get another crank $$$.

 

yeah I dont think you need a new crank. The sprocket should come off. I don't see why it wouldnt. check around. the manualshould be able to tell you if it comes off or not.
