Default New Jetta Owner

Hey guys looking for a Jetta for the wife. She's coming from a 528 and that was too much car for her in terms of size and the maintenance. Im hoping the Jetta will solve both those issues. I like the TDI or the turbo models as well. But, im not familiar with these cars, which models are most reliable and require the least amount of attention. Im tring to do scheduled maintenace, oil changes, and drive. Im also looking in the $6,000 range.

All I can suggest is you do some reading in the buyers guide. Detailed model specific buying guide, new owner checklist, catch up maintenance, and quirks

All cars will need some work over its life span it all depends who is doing it and are they following the correct service procedure as regards changing the timing belt on or before that mileage shows.

Owning a car is really costly. From purchasing to maintenance, you are required to spend money. That is true even if you bought that sweet ride with money. And keeping her fueled and legal over her life span varies by region, according to the brand new Automotive Agony Index.
