I own a 2013 Jetta s with the 2.5l inline 5 and a 5 speed manual transmission. It has 63000 miles and two weeks ago 2nd and 5th gear went out. Cannot get either to engage. All other gears are fine and shift in and out of gear normally. Took it to a VW dealer and they are telling me it is a clucth issue and not internal on transmission. Wondering if anyone else has run into this problem before.

 

First job is bleed the clutch hydraulics.
