2006 Jetta TDI Ignition question
I cannot put the key into the ignition.
Tow truck driver said it looked like the ignition had been partially turned.
Any ideas was to what to do or caused the problem
We had driven into a parking lot, left the car there for a couple of hours, and when we came back to the car that was it, key would not go.
I must add that for the past several months, we could not lock all the car doors with the key for.

Try some WD40 or you need to dismantle the ignition switch.

Took my car to the mechanic, he dismantled the switch and a mall piece of green or blue plastic fell out. He reassembled the switch and it now works OK (for the time being).
He ordered a new switch to be installed on May 2nd.
Hope the current switch works OK until them.
Thanks for your response
Ivan.
