Exclamation Need Help

Hello,

I have a 2006 Jetta and just a few days ago the "check engine" light lit up so I went to a mechanic who hooked up my car to an OBD computer. The code that showed up was 01056: Function Compensation Charging. Unfortunetly the mechanic did not know what this meant. Does anyone know what "function compensation charging" or "Low limit reach" means?
Any help would be much appreciated!
- thanks

The mechanic wrote down "01056" and on this website I found a list of all the codes and they are all five-digit numbers. So I do not think code 1056 will be the same as trouble code 01056 unfortunately

DTC codes have 4 numbers. They all start with P. Example P1056. If the number starts with a 0 its a generic code. If it starts with a 1 its a manufacturer specific code. So if we can get the right code I might be able to help you.
