If you're changing your transmission fluid, go to the auto parts store, or call a VW dealership and find out what kind your car takes...more likely ATF dextron-mircron....but don't quote me on that. They will tell you how much it takes, or how much to add and things like that. If you or someone you know is doing it, there should be 2 plugs right next to each other on the case. 1 is for emptying, the other is to check to see how much is actually in there, at least that's how it is on muscle cars and that's all I've ever built, so it may be different....I would get a Chiltons Manual just in case..hope it helps

On your transmission there should be 2 plugs a high plug and a low plug. Undo the low plug that will allow the fluid to drain out. Then undo the top plug and pour tranny fluid in until it is filled to the brim then apply cap. start car and check fluid.
