I have a 1998.5 Jetta GL wolfsburg with about 138k miles. Over the course of the last two years I have had several electrical issues and I am beginning to wonder if they are somehow related. Please let me know if anyone has a clue what could be going on.

All four windows do not work, although some work intermittently. They have gradually quit one by one.

Cruise control stopped working

Car will lock me in and make the beep sound as if i locked it from the outside when I am travelling


Are these related?
Does anyone know a fix for the window issue as I assume the motors are OK because the windows work every once and a while?

 

Sounds like your comfort module is bad.
