Default Electrical issue

I have a 1998.5 Jetta Wolfsburg.

It is having some strange electrical problems, and I am looking for ideas as to the problem.

Here are the symptoms:

The windows have one by one stopped working. Then, occassionally, one of them will work for a day or so and then stop. This has been going on for quite some time, but the majority of the time they do not work. However, i can hear clicking in the door as if the signal is getting to the window motor (also it has to work as sometimes the windows do as well).

Also, cruise control stopped working, and then worked occassionally.

Could these be related? Any help would be appreciated.

no, the windows after wear and tear are gonna give up on you, you just have to buy a new regulator and they can get pricey. ive had this happen to my jetta. the cruise control however i do not know, mine stopped working and then sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt, but i never really used it.
