ok so im new to this thread I have a 98 VW getta GL 2.0 L. I just got a ticket the other light for my brake lights not turning off. Its weird the light switch thats on the left when turned to the right the brake lights and running back lights stay on and wont go off. When i turn the **** to the left my running lights are not on at all but the break lights work. WHat is my problem? how can I fix this? Anyone one out there that has had this problem?

So i guess no one on this forum know whats going on?? I guess it is an electrical problem that volkswagons are known for. I guess its time to cough up the money and take it to the shop thanks alot guys
