Default golf III GL TD electric window problem

hi hope someone can help. ive just bought a golf III GL with 4 electric windows. however, they will only go down , nothing happens on any window when you try to send them back up. i was told by a "expert" that it was a fault with the motor. so i have replaced all 4 motors and mechanisms from a car that worked perfectly. just installed them ,,,, and same problem , they all go down, but none will go up, so after spending £100 on motors im still in the same position. i have 4 electric windows that go down but not up. any one got any ideas?

Check the master window switch.
Its probably sending current when in the "down" position, but not sending any when its switched to "up". Use a test light or volt meter and check the prongs when switching it up and down.

Default electric window problem

hi ive found what the problem was, the car had glass closers fitted as standard, and the drivers door sensor had burnt out which is why no window would go back up as they are all on the same circuit. ive removed all the glass closer sensors and all the windows now work perfectly
