Default A brake problem light

On my 2000 jetta GLS, the check brakes, or brake failure light has turned on, I don't especially know which. However, we can't find out what's wrong with the brakes.the brakes work fine for about a week and I don't have to press any harder then usual. Has anyone had this problem or know what is wrong? It would be very appreciated if someone could help, because I think we all know how expensive it is to take VW's into the shop.

Default RE: A brake problem light

make sure its not your brake light switch thats stuck on, if thats the problem, take it to the dealer and they should fix you up for free
