Default Airbag Light!

I just replaced the instrument panel fuse on my 2001 Jetta,and when i turned the key and started my car my airbag light on the tachometercame on and wont turn off! Does anyone know why? Is it a code? Please help its annoying me. Thanks

it's a code, something in your steering wheel is jacked up, or even in the system. Mine has been on for almost 8 months...I'll eventually get to it..the light is yellow so not a big deal. When the idiot lights are red then that's a problem.

So if the "Idiot" guy is yellow, im ok? Will my airbags still go off if im in an accident? I was doing some research and someone said the springs under your seat can set it off also but i didnt even touch my seats. Thanks for the help though, i was worried i had some serious electircal problems cause my stereo was asking for a code also, but after an hour on the phone with Volkswagen i found out my code.

I agree. If you're really worried take it to the dealer and spend the $150 to get it fixed, but I was simply saying it's not such a huge deal so breathe.
