98 jetta ignition problems?
The other day I went to drive my girlfriends 98 Jetta and it wouldn’t start. After looking under the hood I noticed that there was a small spark coming from the ignition coil. I tested to see if that was the problem by wrapping electrical tape around the spot and the car started right up. So I decided to replace the ignition coil along with the cap rotor wires and plugs. Now the car idles very low and when I try to accelerate the engine cuts out around 200 RPM’s. Any Idea’s

who the **** are you to be calling people dumb. of course I checked all the plugs. actually It was the throttle body that was going bad. her is an idea, if you don't know what you are talking about then save yourself some energy.

If you plan on staying a member of these forums, this behavior WILL NOT be tolerated!! Maybe he was trying to help, simply stating that maybe you connected 1 or 2 wires in the wrong spots. Either way, no one is the best or worst mechanic but everyone is entitled to their own opinions....if you can't handle that than I suggest you find another forum.
