2013 Jetta Se 2.5L PSEV
Hello everyone,
I have a Jetta that idles high upon startup. It goes to about 2000 rpm. When it is in regular idle it holds about 700-800 rpm. If I haven't driven my car in a while, it almost always high idles after starting. If I drive somewhere, turn the car off, and turn it back on, it does not high idle. It is concerning because if I try and put the car in reverse before letting the idle die down the car kind of jerks back if i don't press really firm on the break. Not a violent jerk, just like the car wants to go.

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.
