Default 2009 Jetta SE - Can't get it out of Park

I lost the interior lights, so I was checking and changing some fuses. When I re-started the car, the ESP light was on and I couldn't get the car to shift out of Park. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.
