2005 Jetta won’t start

Looking for ideas what might be wrong with my 2005 Jetta:
Engine capacity: 5 Cylinder, 2.5 L
Engine series: 5-Cyl. 2.5L
Engine type: 2.5L L5 DOHC 20V
Approx 240,000 miles
started running rough so hooked up a code reader which showed crank sensor, cam sensor, and max airflow sensor. Changed crank sensor didn’t change anything, changed airflow sensor and it helped. Next day got home and shut it off then went to start it again a few mins later. Heard an “Air releasing” sound and it hadn’t started since.
hooked up code reader again and there are no code currently but battery did go dead sitting for a few days.
Just finished replacing the crank sensor again which was suggested. This made no difference.
