2002 Jetta GLS problem Code P0411, Solenoid Question
Hi guys I own a 2002 Jetta GlS, 1.8T. Recently I pulled codes on the vehicle and I have a p0411 code after extensive research as far as I understand the possible problems are a bad air pump, combi valve, or Solenoid
The issue is A. Im having trouble finding the secondary injection solenoid, I thought this was it but Im not sure

I think that it may be the solenoid I hooked a voltmeter to it and I got 12 volts of power to the solenoid but upon turning the car on or putting the ignition on I couldnt hear the solenoid switch on. I assume its the solenoid the car's still running great the only evidence of this is the check engine light but I feel I may be wrong about that solenoid as it costs 108 dollars and other forums said it only costs like 8 to 11 and I feel maybe Im going after the wrong thing here. If any of you can help me out could you tell me where the solenoid is?

RE: 2002 Jetta GLS problem Code P0411, Solenoid Question
Yes that is correct, It turned out not to be the solenoid, I went ahead and replaced it and check engine light came back on so Im guessing its a bad combi valve the air pump is working I can feel a vaccueem when I place my hand on the solenoid valve.
Thats correct the problem is with the secondary air injection system incorrect flow
