2001 VW Jetta 1.8T questions
I recently purchased a 2001 VW Jetta 1.8T (without a users manual). I love the car , but there are some features I have not yet figured out. Could someone help me understand the following features?
1 - The car is equiped with cruise control, but I don't know how to turn it on. The Cancel, Set, and Res(ume) buttons are mounted on the steering wheel, but I cannot find a button that enables these buttons to be used.
2 - On the turn indicator column (located off the left of the steering column), there is an On/Off switch for headlights (it would seem). The switch does not appear to do anything when I switch it. Separately, there is a switch on the dash (located to the left of the steering column) that turns lights on (interior); next to the instrument backlight dimmer. It appears as though the headlights stay on all of the time and the dash switch only controls the instrument backlight lights. Although this doesn't pose a "problem", I would like to know how lighting is supposed to work. Could someone shed some light (hee hee) on the subject?

Figured it out
I spoke to a friend of mine, who own's a Passat. As a result, I learned that the switch that I thought had been for lights (on the turn indicator column); the on/off switch for cruise control. Apparently mine doesn't work though.
