2000 Jetta GLS VR6 transmission problems
Just bought a 2000 Jetta vr6 automatic. Just started experiencing some trans issues. When I put the car in drive or reverse it takes a few seconds with some revving to engage and move the car. It will then pop in and out a time or two but drive and shift fine after the car starts moving! Boggled and have heard so many different issues except for this one. New to volkswagon! Please help!!! SOS !!!! Have not changed the trans fluid or filter yet which is first protocol on American cars. Before I spend the cash figured I would pick the VW community's brains before I do anything! Email is Pleickhardt1198@gmail.com phone number is 631-767-0002 name is rob! I'm new to the Jetta but have always been a VW fan since I was a kid! Any advice is greatly appreciated! Ran a basic code reader and only had a misfire code that has now cleared. When the code came up and I checked the pack I found a wire arcing out. Fixed it and the trans is now doing this?! Is it possible that the trans comp fried?!?! PLEASE HELPPPPPP!!!

Welcome to the forum.
The first thing to do is get your motor scanned with VAG-COM\VCDS or an EOBD II scanner for any error codes logged in the ecu and post the error numbers.
I wouldn't show your email address on an open forum unless you love getting spam?
