2000 Jetta GL Immobolized... Help me
Please help, my only set of wheels is a sitting hunk of iron right now... 2 seconds of run time and immobolizer shuts it off.
Heres my probelm in a nutshell:
-Ignition broke
-Clutch started it and drove it home
-Parked it for 2 days
-Car is now immobolized
-Got new ignition from an Audi
-Opened OEM key and moved transposer to the audi key
-Still immobolized
Checked everything from battery to fuel.. all set.
-Tried to wire the fuel pump directly to the battery (to prevent the immobilizer from shutting it off) Still no go.
I don't care about resetting it, the car isn't worth bringing to the dealer for a $1000+ service. Power steering is shot, is old.. etc.
Anyone know how I can bypass the system? Maybe wiring it up like a racecar, toggle switch for power, toggle for fuel, and a push button to use the starter motor? Or is it still not going to run after... I need it to run, cheap butcher job
Thanks
