1996 Jetta Trek no-start.
Hello.
My 1996 Jetta Trek ignition switch went bad back in 2006. It hasn't run since then. Please don't yell at me for that. I ran into some financial troubles and am now just getting back on my feet. So far, I have replaced the ignition switch, the gas tank was already pretty empty when it died. When cranking the engine, it tries to start. I here the engine speeding up for a second or two, then it goes back to just the starter running until I quit for a few minutes, then try again. Same thing happens every time. Does anyone here have any clue what is going on here? Your help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
