Default 1995 blown timing belt...

in a 1995 jetta, the timing belt is blown, but does that mean that the heads are blown too?

well 9.7 times out of 10, yes. you dont want to just put a new timing belt on, and chance it by trying to start it. the only way you will know is by pulling the head. if you dont pull the head, you can and will do more damage. so trust me on pulling the cylinder head, i've been a master mechanic with mercedes-benz for 6 years now.

on all 8valve engines when you blow the timing belt the cylinder head is fine because the vavles do not interfere with eachother thats only on 8VALVE engines.
