1990 jetta 1.8L with 250,000 miles will start right up but will idle rough when cold. The idle will even out if allowed to warm up. Also if started and drove soon after car will spit and sputter while driving down the road. Again after the engine warms up the car runs perfectly. This problem doesnt seem to happen when the weather is warmer out say like 40 degrees.
