Default 2000 VW Jetta GLS 2.0 Gas No power, spits and sputters

My vw jetta GLS 2.0 Gas (5 speed) has no power and its spits and sputters a bit. I cant take it on the interstate any more as the car BARELY goes 65 on a straight strech of road. I have changed the engine oil and filter, spark plugs and wires (65$ for the wires???). Any ideas what else could it be? I am thinking it might be the ignition coil. Is there a way to test it if it is?

Well I took it to advance auto parts and had them hook it up and it says Missfiring of the cylinders. And my O2 sensors are bad....both of them...front and back. I rechecked my wires and plugs, all fine. I replaced the Coil and still spits and sputters.

get the miss fixed before you repace o2s
might be the miss making your o2 to wig out
check firing order and injector conections

Ok so how do I go about doing this on my car? Sorry but I have never been mechanically inclined. Electronically I am but not mechanically. Just tell me how and I can do it.

you need to see if the wires are on properly find a picture or something that will tell you if they are on right or not on the coil
