Hi all,

I am new here and I am very close to buying a 1988 Jetta gli. I wanted to ask you folks since I don't know much about VWs what to look for, what to expect, and what is typical of Jettas. Let me know what you think. The car appears to be in very good shape for its age and looks nice. I want honesty. Thanks so very much for all of your time, suggestions, and opinions.

just look for the same stuff youd look for in any car of that age. make sure it runs good, the price isnt too high, and theres no crazy problems or damage. that thing should run like a champ for ya!
