16x7 A6 or Passat wheels fit 16x6.5 jetta?

16x7 A6 or Passat wheels fit 16x6.5 jetta?
I looking to buy this week a new Jetta SW S model that has the standard steel wheels not the the Alloy Wheels option I'm looking switch the stock tires that come on the vehicle which i believe are P205/55HR16 to stock rims from an older audi A6 or Passat that are 16 x 7 not the 6.5 would there be any issues with doing that? all the wheels are 5 - 112 bolt pattern. 6.5 to 7 Wheels with same tires
I have 16X6.5 wheels with tires on a 2002 Passat. The tires are in really good shape but the wheels need to be changed. My neighbor has an a set of wheels which he is willing to give me for free but they are 16x7. Can I use the tires on have now or do I have to buy new tires? Thanks, Carlosl
