Default 1.8t 03 jetta

Need help, I replaced the timing belt to an IE tensioner. Whe I did it the first time I set TDC and the was a loud whining coming from the engine. Today I took it apart because I had tigntened it the first time in the wrong direction. When I did it today to the right direction counter clock buttoned everything it it would not start. It would turn over but not catch. I did not set TDC when I did the work today. Did I screw up the car or is simply a case of redoing the working and setting TDC again and than adjusting any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jetta interior, including the simple three **** climate control is almost an endangered species in the new car is also true. Many automobile manufacturing complex set temperature and fan speed, this should be a very simple process to drive this nice car.
