05 Jetta auto shifting issue

Car is sons so I don’t drive it but the heater hose fitting broke on firewall showering all with antifreeze. I fixed that and noticed the check engine light was on and drove it to work. It shifts fine just not into high gear. He says light wasn’t on and it shifted fine- maybe it did but maybe it didn’t?

scanned it and it said no active code but 2 stored codes for nox sensor- I cleared them but the light was still on?

any thoughts on shifting issue?
