Default 04 Jetta, coolant in oil. head pressure test ok

th ought possible head gasket removed head and sent to be pressure tested. test ok. excessive carbon and oil throughout intake. headgasket appeared to be ok. at time of repairs car smoked and sputtered, no power and couldnt advance rpms. pistons and sleeves looked fine. any help is greatly appreciated.

did you look at the head gasket itself? sounds like this motor was not taken care of much. while the head is in, you should have a shop clean it out chemically for you. as long as you have the motor torn apart, might as well give it a little love and replace o-rings on pistons and a few other gaskets. i'm going to guess that the oil is probably thick and black as well in there. make sure to change the oil and engine coolant. with coolant in the oil, there will also be oil in the coolant.
