Hey guys,

A few problems going on with my jetta. It started last week, car had not been driven in a couple weeks (it had been raining alot lately too, car stays outside) and wouldn't start. Tried a jump, didnt work. Replaced battery, didnt work. Car was kind of low on gas (1/8 tank) so we filled it up with some more and gave it some gas when we tried to turn it on and bingo it worked.

However, now the EPC light and Emergency Brake light come on in the car and go away sometimes but mostly stay on. AC also has stopped working. Any ideas on what is going on here?

hello there. i have a jetta (1998) with the same problem. the park brake light switch is shorted and it's disabeling the headlights. we had some problems with the fan switch too. so i wonder if our problems lie in the heater/fan switch moduel. that could be where our shorts are.
