Default 03 Jetta diesel won't run

Please help
I have a 2003 Jetta 1.9t diesel. I replaced my glow plugs because two were bad. It still fired up even when cold just a little rough. Once I did that now it won't fire only for a couple seconds when the glow plug light is on. If I let it cycle and the light goes out all it does is crank. I've tried everything that I can think of. Also I had the battery unhooked if that matters somehow.

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.

Well to be honest with you I'm guessing it is a fuel issue because it will run on either. I think it is only getting fuel for the first couple of seconds that the key is on. I just don't know what would cause that or where to start.

Do you have a fuse & relay diagram?

I have 2003 Golf/Bora 1.9 SDI Fuses & Relays 17 pages 1J1004 AGM

Slot 4 under the dash - J17 - Fuel pump relay (409) J52 - Glow plug relay (103)

PM me with your email if you want it?
