yo was up ppl i have just bought a 2000 gti gls and i was wondering if its normal for the car to make a very low ticking noise while the car is ideling ??? is that nothing to worry about or is it and engine problem cause the guy told me its a very common sound for vw's and its not realy a loud sound but some one told me it could be the head or something i dono i would realy apriciate it if someone let me know if i should worry iight pplz thanx!!!

 

That is the lifter noise. its extremely common and you may as well get used to it. its not a bad thing, just annoying. and you could start pouring money out just trying to fix the problem. if its livable, keep it. good luck man, and nice purchase. so basically, no worries man.
