Exclamation Swap Golf Variant CAV engine with GTI AXX or BWA engine

I have a 2010 Golf Variant with a CAV engine, which has been giving me headaches. I would like to swap the engine with a GTI engine. Is this possible/advisable.

Where have you had CAV from the sticker on the timing belt cover? They always miss a letter of 4 character engine codes. You don't say the engine size of this 2010 Golf Variant, I would guess its.

Manufacturer: VW, Date(s) Used: 07/2009-07/2013, Model: Golf/Variant/4Motion, Engine Code: CAVD, 118Kw, 160PS, 1.4 Ltr, 4 Cyls, Remarks: Turbocharged Stratified Injection (TSI), Motronic MED 17.5.5

Manufacturer: VW, Date(s) Used: 02/2009-05/2011, Model: Golf GTI, Engine Code: CCZB, 155Kw, 211PS, 2.0 Ltr, 4 Cyls, Remarks: Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection (TFSI), Motronic MED 17.5

You can find the correct engine code of the data sticker.

Please tell us your car spec in your signature

It its just a straight engine swap. You will need the ecu of your donor vehicle. Then you will need your key coded by a dealer. It will cost you a small fortune.
