Default spark plug change

Hi everyone. Just had a quick question coming from a self-proclaimed newbie.

I really need to change my spark plugs on my 98 golf. Over the top of them there is an intake manifold of sorts that has the VW logo printed on it along with the engine size in liters. the intake is made of metal and appears to be bolted in with Allen wrench screws. I took out what looks to be all of them from the top, sides, and back. but for whatever reason I still cannot gain access to the plugs.

does anyone know of any documentation or anything I can use as reference to get at the plugs? thanks for any help anyone can give.

Default RE: spark plug change

you dont need to pull it off you can get a spark plug socket and a flex joint extension to work
