Default Oxygen sensor issues

I am having trouble with my oxygen sensors. I bought two not knowing that there are 3. I replaced the upstream by the turbo and the downstream after the secondary converter. The sensor in front of the secondary converter has a red/brown connector with a tab on it. Autozone sold me the wrong part and carparts has pictures of the right part but sent the wrong one. Is it possible to de-pin and re pin with the red/brown connector or swap pigtails? Is the only difference the connector? I don’t see why it wouldn’t work unless it is wideband and the others are not. I am trying to avoid buying a sensor from the dealer because they say it costs well over $300.
