Hello im new here and just a question about 1994 mk3 golf. A buddy that i work with has one for sale. He said he would sell it to me for $300. It has 237k miles runs extremely healthy. I was surprised it runs as good as it does. Issues: needs front right tie rod and the automatic transmission is going out. Its overall in good shape. Its just that it wont move unless its in 2nd gear and ran up to about 3600 rpm's. Im thinking about buying it and just replacing the tranny. Im mechanically inclined to do so but i wanted somebody else's opinion. Is it a good buy? Just being used as a daily driver to and from work which is a 30 mile drive round trip. Thanks alot!
