door issue

i have a golf 2000, sometimes i cant open my door from the outside, it locks from inside.
Before i used to be able to open the passenger door to get in,, but now this one doesnt work either...
what can i do???

Is the **** going up and down by pressing the remote ? If not then tap on the door close to the key hole/handle. If this works then your lock mechanism has bad solder joints like mine had.

A similar problem on my friends mk1, and my mk3, without of coarse. Open the back hatch and crawl in. Unscrew the *** and use A LOT of WD-40 or similar product, in the lock hole.
