Cooling fans not coming on?
Hey guys im new here. Got a question about my 2002 Golf (2.0 gas). My cooling fans are not coming on at all causing the car to overheat when i let it sit and run for 10 or more minutes. My A/C is also not working. I can hear it trying to do something when i push the A/C button but no cold air. I replaced the low pressure switch and checked the freon and they are fine. Any ideas? Just wondering if these 2 problems are linked somehow? The A/C randomly works sometimes, but the last few times i tried it it didnt.

ok i got it pulled apart today. there are 3 wires going to the fan. A brown wire, a white/red wire, and a black/red wire. which is the ground wire, and what do the other 2 wires do? I am going to try to hotwire the fan and make sure it works but im not sure what the wires are, and i dont want to mess anything up any worse than what it already is. Thanks for the help guys.

Help with fans
Hi there...
I got a VW Golf 4 from 2000, 2.0 gas.
My problem is that the fans won't stop running.
It's a big problem because it drains the battery.
Now i pull off the battery so the battery is not going flat, and when i put it back on, the fans starts right away.
Have you ever heard about this before?
